EMPOWERING THROUGH CONNECTION & RESILIENCE
Adhika’s workshop offerings are designed to build community, celebrate Filipino heritage, and foster empowerment through culturally rooted learning experiences. From Arnis (Filipino Martial Arts) workshops that explore historical significance, self-defense, and trauma-informed movement, to wellness workshops that help Filipino newcomers to Canada connect, find support, and thrive in a new environment, these programs blend cultural education with personal growth and community building.
Arnis (Filipino Martial Arts) Workshops

Past Arnis Workshops:
Martial Arts Workshop for Women:In collaboration with Combat Science, we hold workshops every August to learn about the basic drills and its origins of arnis in the Philippine history and colonialism. It also introduced how movement can aid healing trauma by empowerment through self-defence.
Centre Kapwa Conference:The conference was a 2-day event that aimed to uplift the voices of Filipino /a/x/s/, including queer and trans intersectionality, recovering from the discrimination induced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rise Up Event 2024:As the commencement of Filipino Heritage Month in June 2024, we kickstarted with the Rise Tribe’s Rise Up Youth Event. Centered on Filipino heritage, the event served as a vital platform to spotlight the rich cultural tapestry of Filipino Martial Arts.
